Entry is via Level 1 of the training, in an online course or in an in-person seminar at the SAMI Headquarters in Vienna, or at another SAMI training center (where offered).

Online support
After the first training step, certified, licensed SAMI instructors can use their instructor license to access online support material (video library, training plans, curricula). The video library comprises hundreds of video clips and makes it possible to review techniques perfectly and to create your own playlists.

Cost coverage for public authority employees
Depending on the agreement, payment for the training can be processed through the authority. We can issue e-invoices to authorities. An invoice can also be issued to individuals (employees) for subsequent submission for reimbursement.
Frequently asked questions about training
What are the admission requirements for the training?
No specific prior knowledge is required for our training, but a background in a public authority is an advantage. A completely clean criminal record is, of course, a basic requirement; a certificate of good conduct must be presented at our request. Minimum age for instructors: 24 years.
How long does the training take and what is the schedule?
The duration of our training varies depending on the courses chosen and the individual progress of the participants. The general SAMI-X PRO instructor training has a progressive structure and depends on the training level. In the training seminars, participants are generally taught separately according to their training level to ensure that every student can get the most out of the training. A training seminar in which a level or part of a level can be completed lasts 3 days. You will receive more detailed information on the duration and schedule when you register or by contacting our team.
Are there certifications or qualifications after completing the training?
Yes, of course! After completing each training level, participants receive the corresponding certification and/or the corresponding instructor rank. (An active SAMI instructor license is a requirement here.) One advantage is that many authorities recognize these certifications as part of their training and continuing education programs. Certifications are also issued for individual on-site training programs to document completion and the skills acquired. Certifications can be important for professional development or career opportunities.
What equipment is required and is it included in the training price?
The equipment required varies depending on the course and availability. As a rule, training is carried out with the official equipment. If this is not available, training weapons such as a pistol and baton, as well as a holster and protective equipment, are an advantage. If training weapons are not available or cannot be brought to the seminar, we are happy to provide them to ensure that all participants can complete the training in the best possible way.
What are the costs and payment options?
The costs of our training programs vary by course and can be viewed in the course schedule. When booking a seminar, you can pay immediately using common payment options or make the payment on site. For some seminar formats, participants who choose immediate payment receive video material in advance to prepare for the seminar. This allows them to prepare optimally for the training and get the most out of the training experience.
Will the authority also pay the costs for me?
Cost coverage by the authority depends on the respective authority and department. Authorities receive a special authority discount from us. In some cases, the costs are reimbursed afterwards by the employer; in this case, participants receive the invoice for reimbursement.
