Spring 1999 - with a vision and a great deal of commitment, Irmengard Weckauf-Hanzal and Peter Weckauf founded SAMI International. Today - 20 years later - our safety concepts and systems are taught in over 50 countries. All of our training programs have a history and even today we continue to question them and test their effectiveness. The trained special and remedial teacher has been an instructor for self-defense and martial arts for 20 years. Peter Weckauf is one of the most respected and professional martial arts and self-defense experts. His creative and fundamentally structured concepts inspire students, trainers and authorities all over the world. Due to his many years as a SAMI instructor, police operations trainer and member of the special unit WEGA, he brings with him a mixture of experience and know-how that is hard to find in this form.
